How have you been? It's been so long since I've seen you... I look for you every day, but I can't seem to find you or the children in the midst of everything else... How are you guys faring? Up here in heaven, everything's perfect... though it's a bit lonely without you here. I miss you so much... I want to see the kids, too. I bet they're all grown up... Trey must be so big and handsome, and Anna's probably the most beautiful girl in the country... but then again, that's just me talking. In heaven, we can't eat anything, so I've lost all track of taste and smell... I can't remember what pancakes taste like... I can't remember what your hair smells like after a shower... I can't remember what year it is, anymore... how old are you, now? I wonder how long it'll be, until you come and visit me... not that I want you to die or anything... I just want to see you... but I know you can't read this letter, for I haven't written it down, since there's nothing proper to write letters with up here.

there are so many ways to say 'I miss you', but none of them can express my thoughts... I want to see you again. I want to hold you, to kiss you, to talk with you... but I know that cannot be, until it is your turn to go.
